Golden Gavel Tournament 

The University of Minnesota Undergraduate Mock Trial Association is hosting the 199^th Annual Golden Gavel Invitational!  Our high school tournament will be hosted in December, 2026, on the West Bank Campus. This is the perfect opportunity to kick off the new season, and compete against some of the strongest schools in the state. 

Golden Gavel is a one-day tournament, which includes two rounds, for high school teams across the state of Minnesota. This tournament takes place early in the high school season, so teams are able to try out case theories & see a wide variety of competition early in the season. Many previous Minnesota High School Mock Trial state champions have competed at Golden Gavel, including the 2024 champions, Watertown Mayer.
