Upcoming Tournaments!

This fall the Litigophers competed at Scot Free Scrimmage,The Illini Invite,The Arch Invitational,The Red Cedar Classic, The Bluejay Invitational, Badger the Witness, the Ole Open,  Cornshucker tournament in Iowa, Big Apple Invitational, Eau-Claire Menards Center tournament, Mid-Missouri, and AtypiCal!

The Litigophers then competed at both the Madison and Drake regionals, earning two bids to the St.Paul Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS)!

Wish our Litigophers luck as maroon competes at the National Championship Tournament (NCT) in Washington, D.C.!

2025-2026 Season

2025-2026 Season

During the 2025-2026 AMTA Competitive Season, our three teams won multiple individual and team awards! 

  • At Scot Free Scrimmage, our Gold team took first and Silver team took third
    • Outstanding Attorney, Bill Phan, 20 ranks
    • Outstanding Attorney, Logan Juran, 19 ranks
    • Outstanding Witness, Reagan Koppelman, 16 ranks 
    • Outstanding Witness, Hayden Dylla, 16 ranks
  • At Illini Invite, our members took home these individual awards:

    • Outstanding Witness, Jackson Barber, 16 Ranks

2022 - 2023 Season

In the 2022-2023 AMTA Competitive Season, our three teams won multiple individual and team awards! 

  • At our home tournament UMNUMB, our Maroon and Gold teams got 1st and 2nd place with multiple members taking home attorney and witness awards!
  • At Drake, members of our White and Gold team won attorney and witness awards!
  • At UIUC, our Maroon team competed with two members winning outstanding witness awards!
  • At Vanderbilt, Gold and Maroon competed and three members received witness awards!
  • At St.Olaf, White team won a witness award!
  • At Cornshucker, Maroon competed and received two attorney awards and a witness award!
  • At Hamline, Gold won third place, and White received a witness award!
  • Our White team got a bid to ORCS at Drake and won a witness award!!!

UMNUMB

The University of Minnesota – Twin Cities’ Undergraduate Mock Trial Association is pleased to host the 17th Annual UMNUMB (University of Minnesota’s Nordic Undergraduate Mock Trial Battle) tournament. UMNUMB is know to be an unprecedentedly strong and fun for a competitive early-season tournament.

UMNUMB will be hosted October 4-6th, 2024. If you are interested in UMNUMB 2024, please email [email protected].  

Golden Gavel 2025

Each year, The University of Minnesota holds Golden Gavel, a single day mock trial tournament for all the high schools of Minnesota! Our Golden Gavel High School Invitational will be hosted on the UMN campus on Saturday December 13!
