Get Involved
Beyond looking for members to compete in our program, the UMN Mock Trial Program seeks to connect with the greater mock trial community. Read below for additional ways you may get involved with our program!
Volunteer as a Judge
The UMN Mock Trial Program hosts two annual tournaments, UMNUMB for AMTA competitors and Golden Gavel for high school competitors. We are always looking for qualified individuals to help judge! The 2026 UMNUMB will take place in-person November 6th-8th. Golden Gavel will be 2 rounds on one day in-person in mid December, specific date TBD. If you are interested in serving this community as a judge we would love to hear from you at [email protected].
Sponsor our Organization
The UMN Mock Trial Program has had the privilege of competing at highly competitive tournaments all across the country including the National Championship Tournament in Washington DC. The success of our program is only possible through our sponsors who enable us travel and represent Minnesota Mock Trial across the country. We are actively seeking sponsors to support our organization and students. All donations to our organization are 501(c)(3) tax deductible through the University of Minnesota Foundation. Any individual or entity interested in financially supporting our program can contact us for more information at [email protected]. Check out our current sponsor list here!
Join our Alumni Network
We are excited to announce that this year we will be launching our own UMN Litigopher Alumni Network! This network aims to keep former members up to date on what is happening with our program and provide valuable connections between current and former members. All former UMN Litigopher members are encouraged to sign up for our network here!
Volunteer
The UMN Mock Trial Program is always keeping busy and can almost always use a helping hand. This is also a great opportunity for anyone in NHS to get volunteer hours while learning more about our program. Anyone interested in volunteering should reach out at [email protected].
