Ainsley Brown

Ainsley is a junior at the University of Minnesota, double majoring in Journalism and Political Science through the College of Liberal Arts. When it comes to Mock Trial, Ainsley's favorite part is delivering cross-examinations. In her free time, Ainsley has a passion for music, and can play six different instruments including the violin, bass, piano, ukulele, guitar, and mandolin. She goes by she/they pronouns.

Amber Gaylord

Events Committee member

Amber is a senior at the University of Minnesota's College of Liberal Arts, set to graduate this semester. She is majoring in Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Justice and minoring in Psychology. Amber is an active member of the University's Mock Trial team and values the connections she makes with her fellow team members. She's quite an adventurous person and has broken seven bones throughout her life, including her ankles twice, two fingers, and her shoulder.

Amelia Anderson

Amelia is a sophomore in the College of Liberal Arts, is majoring in Music Education. Her favorite thing about Mock Trial is making unexpected jokes on the stand to throw off both the opposing team and the judges. Despite her love of humor, Amelia has an unusual fear: condiments.

Colton Emerson

Colton Emerson is a senior at the University of Minnesota. He is studying Philosophy and Political Science. This is his first year of Mock Trial ever!

Ella Bucher-Dagen

Ella Bucher-Dagen is a freshman at the University of Minnesota majoring in Philosophy. Ella has over 200 books in her bedroom at home (although her Mom only let her take 10 to college)!

Ella Curiel

Ella Curiel is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a minor in political science.  After she graduates, she plans on taking some time to work, then attending law school.  She loves giving impromptu cross-examinations and her killer defense close. In her free time, Ella enjoys camping, snowboarding, and attempting to play guitar. 

Emily Sapyta

Emily Sapyta is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. Emily is majoring in Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Justice. She also is a Level 55 in Hayday!

Emma Nelson

Emma is a senior at the College of Liberal Arts at the U of M. Emma goes by she/her pronouns and is on track to graduate in the Spring of 2024. Her academic focus is in Political Science with a minor in Spanish and Global Studies. Emma loves giving opening statements as it allows her to craft a compelling narrative for the jury and judge. Additionally, she recently had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working on a senate campaign in Wisconsin and at the U.S. Consulate in Barcelona.

Grace Marchand

Grace is a sophomore at the University of Minnesota's College of Liberal Arts, majoring in Political Science and Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Justice. She is passionate about Mock Trial, and her favorite part of the experience is the bonds she forms with her team members. Through practices and tournaments, she has made some amazing memories and friendships that she will treasure forever. In her free time, Grace enjoys watching horror movies and will never turn down a movie night with friends.

Hannah Koster

Hannah Koster is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. She is majoring in Political Science. Outside of Mock Trial, Hannah loves her two dogs!

Jacob Brownrigg

Jacob Brownrigg is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. Jacob loves capybaras and watching One Piece in his free time!

Khoi Phan

Khoi is a second-year student at the University of Minnesota, studying both at the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Science and Engineering. He goes by he/him pronouns and is set to graduate in Spring 2025. He is pursuing a double Political Science BA and Computer Science BS. Khoi is part of the Mock Trial team and enjoys objecting, impeaching witnesses, and presenting professionally in front of people. Furthermore, Khoi is trilingual with Vietnamese and German.

Logan Juran

Logan is a sophomore majoring in supply chain management and political science. Logan uses he/him pronouns and his favorite part about Mock Trial is writing an air-tight case. He spends his free time coaching high school mock trial at Nova Classical Academy.

Lydia Blatzheim

Lydia Blatzheim is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. A fun fact about Lydia is that she plays the trumpet!

Marin Taylor

Marin Taylor is a sophomore at the University of Minnesota. Outside of Mock Trial, Marin loves to do crafts and DIY projects!

Mathew Krelitz

Mathew Krelitz is a senior at the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts, majoring in Sociology with minors in Italian and Business Law. His favorite thing about mock trial is playing a crazy witness and making opposing counsel laugh, whether it be singing Mr. Blue Sky on the stand, northern pikes, or the village from 1000 years ago! In addition to being on mock trial he is the president of the University Ninja Club! 

Riley Hetland

Riley Hetland is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. Outside of Mock Trial, Riley is a director of a Minneapolis based nonprofit that focuses on bringing youth opportunities to participate in social action and leadership.

Shreya Srinivasan

Shreya is a junior majoring in psychology and political science. After graduating, she intends to go to law school. She has been on the mock trial team since her freshman year. Through practices, long car rides, and tournament weekends, Shreya has met some of her favorite people at the U. A fun fact about Shreya is that she’s moved all over the country. 

Sophia Tutt

Sophia Tutt is a freshman at the University of Minnesota and she is majoring is Political Science. Being in Mock Trial is a rewarding experience for her and she enjoys coming to practice and getting to know the people in the organization. She loves to teach dance and read books in her free time. 

Vera Zamborini

Vera Zamborini is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. She is majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Spanish. Her favorite thing about Mock Trial is dominating as a witness. She loves to be an alpha in her free time.
